Let's be honest, they are "earthy". Not bad tho! And even better feeling than coffee, yes I get a little buzz from them! Many people have a hard time chewing and digesting leafy greens, or just want a quick meal. Blending suspends the nutrients, and frees the enzymes in the food that helps to digest it. Chewing food really well (to a creamy consistency) does this as well.
No need for a high speed blender, just a standard one will do. Add water, raw coconut milk, or almond milk to any leafy green that you have (be careful with mustard greens, they are spicey), perhaps a banana if you want to sweeten it up, and BLEND. An avocado is always lovely addition, as well as a carrot, or other root veggie.
This is one of those things, you have to try it to find out for yourself. The vegetables are so easily digested, and all the nutrients are readily available. I do indeed get a "buzzed" feeling after drinking these, and feel really good. There is a real significant positive energetic shift from green smoothies....
